Love Like Fire: Experiencing the love of God.

God’s love towards us is unconditional, dimensionless and everlasting.
Life applications of this lesson: numerous
1. What Must I Do To Experience This Love For Myself?
• Accept Jesus Christ through whom the love is made available (Salvation)
• Trusting God concerning His word—that He loves me! (Faith).
Though I am saved, what is/are the consequences of not trusting God’s love for me? Rom.8:38-39. Heb. 11:6. 1Jn 5:10

2. How Do I Develop My Love Relationship with God?
• Total obedience. Jn. 14:15,23; 15:10; 1 Jn. 5:2-3; Jude 1:21
• Applying the love languages
Spending Quality Time with Him-
i. Alone: Prayers and meditation on the word.
ii. Fellowshipping with other believers
Words of Appreciation (Praises, Thanksgiving, Worship)
More on Worship—bringing pleasure to God is called worship.

"The LORD is pleased only with those who worship him and trust his love." Ps. 147:11 (CEV)

Worship is far more than music or even slow music.
Worship is not for your benefit. Is. 29:13. As such, the following statements are wrong “I love the worship today. I got a lot out of it” or “ I didn’t get anything out of worship today”.
Worship is not a part of your life; it is your life. Ps. 105:4; 113:3; Col. 3:23
“Take your everyday, ordinary life –– your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life–– and place it before God as an offering” Rom 12:1 (The Message)
Gifts and Acts of Service––giving our gifts, time and talents to God.
Physical Touch (Spiritual touch since He is a spirit—this is experienced through Worship)

3. Why is experiencing God’s love crucial?
• It draws God’s attention to me i.e. opens the door for Christ to manifest himself to me. Jn. 14:21
• An assurance for heaven. 1 Jn. 4:17
• You cannot give what you don’t have! To manifest you must experience!
“The true measure of loving God is to love Him without measure” ~ Bernard of Clairvaux
